Shaving Cream And Spelling

Today we had a spelling test but this spelling test was different, we were doing our spelling test on our desks!!!! First we ruled up our page, wrote the date and then wrote down whatever word Mr Kennedy (our teacher) said on the table. Once we were finished our spelling test we couldn’t just leave the words there, we had to get them off. But how. The trick was we used shaving cream to get the grey led off the table!! Mr Kennedy gave us some shaving cream out of a bottle to rub onto our tables. While the shaving cream was on the tables we were allowed to draw pictures and write things in it. The shaving cream felt disgusting and mushy but also pretty cool . It took a little while to rub all the cream off but it was all worth it because for the first time we were actually allowed to draw on our tables!!

Christmas Eve.

On Christmas Eve my family makes strawberries dipped in chocolate then we all eat them around the Christmas tree, then later on we put out some biscuits, milk and carrot for Santa and his reindeers. Then we sleep but it takes me ages and ages to get to sleep because I’d be so excited but eventually I would get to sleep.

Christmas Day.

Wooooooohhh woooooohhh Christmas!!!!!!!!!, that is what I am like when I wake up in the morning. I wake up everyone in the house so that they can come down and open the presents. Once we have done that we have a little play with what we got. Then we drive up to Melbourne for a Christmas lunch with our wh0le family. My cousins and I dont really hang around with the adults we go in the pool for pretty much the whole time. For lunch we usually have cold ham and turkey with potato salad or egg salad and for dessert we usually have cake like chocolate ripple cake and many others. After lunch we go back home feeling very, very tired.

Boxing Day.

On Boxing Day we dont really do anything, most of the time we’re busy playing with what we have got!

I’m not sure whether you do this but this is my christmas tradition. What is yours?

!!DONUTS!!

Today on Friday the 6 of November we did boring old fractions but these were no ordinary fractions…………we used DONUTS!!! Before anyone actually got to eat any donuts we had to do the maths side, 10 students went outside the classroom and each got a number. While they were outside the people inside had to guess which person would go to which table, on 3 tables there were some pieces of paper (we pretended they were cakes) , on one table there were 3 pieces of paper on another table there were 2 and another there were 1. The people on the floor had to guess which table the people outside would come in and sit on. Then the students started coming in one by one people chose tables the person with the most paper would get the most cake, sort of. Then later on………………..IT WAS DONUT TIME! The big finally the donut game, whoever sat on the table with the leat amount of people got the most donuts. But then we had to do fractions before we could eat for example if there were four people on the table with three donuts they would get three quarters each.

In the end pretty much everyone got some donut

Melbourne Cup 2009

Yesterday was the world famous Melbourne Cup horse race, the Melbourne Cup is a huge horse race that includes some of the worlds best horse’s and best Jockeys. The two favourites for the race were Viewed trained by Bart Cummings and Alcopop also trained by Bart Cummings. Then at around three oclock the race started, horses racing as fast as they could all over the track but there could only be one winner and that winner was………..Shocking trained by Mark Kavanagh and then there was Crime Scene coming second trained by Saeed Bin Suroor and coming last was Mourilyan trained by Herman Brown. It was a great race and a fun day out!

What Disappointed Finn today

Today Finn was disappointed when his horse came 2′nd in the Melbourne Cup. The Melbourne cup is a big horse race.

I would probably rather a puppy because they can be taught how to live outside so if they were taught to live outside they wouldn’t do anything bad inside because there OUTSIDE!!!!

Melbourne Cup Racing Game

Today we went out to the basketball court to play a game, this game was a but different though because we were pretending to be horses. First we got a horse chosen for us from the Melbourne cup sweep, then we played. there were numbers set out on the basketball court everyone got ready on the start line then Mr Kennedy would pick out a random horse name if your horse got called out you would move to number one and so on untill someone got to 24. The first person to move was Cape Cover (Jemma) then Harris Tweed (Spencer) took the lead getting way ahead before most people hadn’t even passed the start line. Latern on in the race Gallions Reach(Rai) caught up and took the lead, once she got ahead no one could catch her. Soon after that Gallions Reach’s card got lost but then we found it again so she didnt get scratched. Not much later Gallions Reach won but we were still playing for 2′nd and 3′rd so the game wasn’t over yet! There were about 6 or 7 horses battling out for 2′nd and 3′rd but only two could get it, those two horses were Allez Wonder (Bradley) and Harris Tweed. Harris Tweed came 2′nd and Allez Wonder came 3′rd then so on. It was a fun game that was a bit annoying for some people that stayed in the same place most of the game but over all it was a good game and simply GOOD.
